With 2 outings in as many days I sit to write this post rather worn out. They weren't exciting trips out, one was to casualty, the other to the clinic. My confirmation date finally arrived for my hospital bed booking and we're all guns blazing to get this horse back on it's feet. Referring to myself as a horse.... that's a new one.
Moving swiftly on. I don't know what that means for the blog. Outfit posts have been scarce because it's simply too painful to be dressed for long. Loose pyjama bottoms and tracksuit bottoms (the shame!) have been the order of the day since before Christmas and it had been getting me down. When that happens, that's when I realise just how much I gain from blogging here. It gave me great motivation to pick out an outfit to wear for a while. I know I say it often but it's never been more true than the last few months. I find such haven amongst these pages, meandering in a literary fashion.
Before everything gets a little too soppy around these parts here's an outfit I managed to wear for a while the other day. It's loose enough not to annoy me or cause me discomfort and it incorporated some of my favourite things to wear this last while.
Top, Thrifted from The Mothership // Jersey Maxi Skirt, Ebay (link)
The jumper is great, it's nice and loose and the stud detailing at the top gives it a little edge. The maxi skirt was my latest very pleasant surprise. I'd ordered it from ebay for a fiver and hadn't really even expected it to fit so I was over the moon it turned out to be not only stylish but comfortable as well and we know I'm a great lover of comfort.
The boots are from Everything 5 Pounds and I've done my homework. If you head through www.everything5pounds.com you'll see they're still available for just £5 in a size 3, 4 or 5.
The final touch? My new favourite earrings for day wear.
Silver Aztec Earrings from Adorning Ava. These are a great ear pop for an outfit. I'm not going to be one to completely jump into the Aztec Trend but it doesn't mean I won't dip a tentative toe!
Besides, they are rather pretty and shiny.
All in all it's a budget lovers outfit. Thrifted jumper and with the skirt, earrings and boots all costing round about a fiver each (not including postage) it weighs in at under £20.
It helped a little. What do you do to cheer yourself up a bit?

Amazing how you put that together for so little money. What was the postage costs on everything5pounds? Wanted to order off there a littlw while back x
ReplyDeleteThe postage isn't too bad Aimie, they do use a weight system so it depends on how much you're buying really. I adore the store personally x
DeleteLove it, especially the red boots!! It seems anything looks great on you!
