For Valentines Day I asked my husband for lingerie. You read that right. I want glorious lingerie for myself. Not for him. For me.
I think it's a common misconception, the implication that women are gifted lingerie for a particular reason. And yes, a gift of lingerie is suggestive to a degree but I'm taking a stand today and I'm saying loud and proud that I love beautiful undies all for myself.
If I had ALL the money I would drape myself in chemises and babydolls, I would totter about daily on little fur edged kitten heels. Unfortunately this would be an expensive habit... it's also not exactly practical but I do recommend having at least a few pieces in your special drawer just for you to enjoy wearing every now and again.
Today was a day I was lucky enough to have silk and french lace on my skin. Those days do not come around often, believe me, so it was such a treat.
This Rosie for Marks and Spencer Silk Dressing Gown exudes vintage glam with the slightest dusting of pink undertones it's exquisitely feminine.
If I could wear this every day I would. Even if it were just for 5 minutes at a time. It lightly grazes your skin. It barely feels like you're at all dressed until you look down and see all the chiffon and lace peeking back at you.
The Rosie for Autograph Pure Silk Dressing Gown (link) is available to buy NOW alongside some amazing seperates. If your lady loves her lingerie go mad here. She will thank you for it. And, if, like me, you're taking lingerie back for yourself - you need to treat yourself to this.
I've included a selection of what else is available at the moment, I do, in fact, need them all...
All available exclusively to www.marksandspencer.com I can't recommend the range enough.
For now though I'm content enough with my afternoon spent in French Lace. Bring on Valentines!
