Room31, one of my favourite online retailers (and now an instore retailer too!) very kindly sent me a little Christmas Gift in the form of the Georgie Bow Print Knitted Sweater by Yumi. I'd been looking at this little jumper for a while and had imagined lots of different stylings for it. I look forward to showing you it styled differently soon but for now, with a date for the op still a while off, I had to make do with every day wear.
I've been wearing it with black trousers, joggers, pj bottoms. Next up is jeans and I think it'd look really very cute with a pencil skirt and possibly a little leather look skirt.
Yumi, in my opinion, are generous with their sizing in the majority of cases. This jumper is a size 14 and it's nice and slightly baggy on me which is what you want with a knit.
The collar knit detailing is so delightfully quaint, it transforms what could have been a pretty average jumper into something instantly stylish. Much as though I adore the cream arms I would have loved to have seen the jumper with black arms. The little gem in the middle of the bow is a brilliantly thought out addition to the design, allowing the jumper to be dressed up slightly more than if it had been just plain.
The ribbed hem is a favourite finish of mine. I find it instantly makes knits more wearable. Because I have quite a big bum I find anything that may graze it rides up. If a jumper is weighted with a good quality knit hem you don't run into that problem.
The clincher has to be when you turn around. Just when you think the jumper can't be anymore perfect, you spot the striped back.
On any sites I've viewed this jumper they don't show the back. A quirk such as the back of this Yumi Sweater is a big sell to me. I was so happy when I pulled this out of the Room 31 package and saw the stripey addition.
Yumi does it again. Can they put a foot wrong I wonder..... Not yet anyway!
(now just £20!)
I'd love to take a moment just to thank the team at Room 31, especially Ruth, for being so incredibly supportive of The Agoraphobic Fashionista and for being a friend. They're an amazing retailer and I predict big things in their future so stay tuned! And if you're in the vicinity, do pop into the

DeleteLovely jumper, is it warm?? I have been finding that a lot of jumpers on the high-street aren't very breathable or tend to be either too heavy knit or too thin!

I'm wearing it right now and I'm roasted but it's not heavy, it's a medium knit in my opinion. Hope that helps Lexie x
