Subtly Sparkling: My Monday Manicure

Last week I showed you the wee treats I picked up in Gordons Chemist. Amongst my treats was the Madame Milly nail set.

It seemed too good a bargain to pass up. These 4 mini polishes were in the Christmas Offers aisle priced at just £2.50.

I used the first 2 (on the right) the other night and I was impressed.

The base colour (second across from right) was a dream to apply. 1 coat. So, even though it's a mini bottle it will last you quite well. I then used the gold glitter, putting a little more at the tip of my nail.

It's quite pretty. The base coat has a pink shimmer tone to it making it quite a nice warm tone for the skin. The glitter top coat I'm not so sure on if I'm honest. I like it and for the price of it I'm impressed. It applies very sparingly with the glitter pigments.

I think a mid coat of a different, smaller glitter might lift this duo a little.

All in all though, I am seriously impressed.

Are we looking forward to the festive glitter season yet? *digs out glitter reds and golds*
