Safe to say it's definitely Autumn. We lost our electric yesterday. A branch had been broken off a tree at the front of our house by the wind. Our front yard is covered in twigs, leaves and smaller branches. The branch had landed on the power line. Luckily PowerNI had it sorted in time for cuppas whilst blogging, phew!
Needless to say, in my usual nonsensical manner, I could not be accused of dressing for the weather. Today I chose to wear an item from The AF Bloggers Budget Challenge in August.
Waistcoat Cardigan Primark
Black long sleeved body Amazon
Bamboo print skirt Boohoo
Teal Tights Tesco
Tan Shoes Ebay
Bird Print Scarf My Vintage (link)
Clock Necklace Birthday gift from Claire over at The World of Kitsch (link)
Tan Belt Peacocks
I need to tell you more about the scarf! It is SO pretty! When Emma from My Vintage tweeted she had these stocked in her NEW store I had to buy one right there and then with my Birthday money. It literally only arrived this morning but I couldn't wait to wear it. I've ''twitter-known'' Emma for a while and she's a lovely person and can find your perfect vintage item if you ask her! Now, there are only 2 of these scarves left and Emma has said if any of you should like one to message her on either her Twitter (link) or Facebook (link) if you're interested. I firmly believe everyone should own one. I'm just sitting trying to think of other ways I can wear it.
The other little cosy Autumnal item I want to tell you about is this glorious knitted headband from Temporary Secretary.
This wee headband came in my Giveaway Prize Package from one of Temporary Secretary's twitter giveaways, I can't find it online but I do see an AMAZING faceted gem headband that is whispering through the internet at me.
A series of unfortunate events today really. I nearly fell over doing blog pictures, Riley nearly slid down the grass and the whole no electric thing. But at least I felt I was wearing a cute outfit. How vacuous I know, but, it's the little things ;)
