When this Joe Browns competition caught my attention I couldn't wait to put together my entry post, however then the inevitable happened!
I own pretty much no current photographs of my lovely hubby and I together :O
I wonder how many other couples fall into this trap? It's easy to forget the importance of your relationship with each other after 5 years of marriage and one 2 year old. We find now the 2 year old (adorable though he is) gets ALL the virtual photo storage space. He's the first subject when the camera comes out. Then there are my blog photographs. But, alas! Hardly any photos of my lovely hubby (and he is really lovely) and maybe only 1 or 2 of us together!
But, determination will prevail and I am putting this post forward as our entry into the Mr and Mrs Joe Browns Competition!
He's my best friend and honestly? My reason for entering this competition! Read on to find out why!
I have a minute amount of style. I like to pair clothes, I take an interest in what I'm wearing (well, I am a blogger after all innit!)
I recently found myself in a bizarre situation. I own numerous dresses and skirts but no casual wear! With a 2 year old running around and constant spillages this is just no good as I'm sure you can understand. The whole casual wear shopping eludes me. I head straight for the pretty dresses :S I am not afraid to admit I need help styling myself DOWN. There is only one store I can think of when it comes to easy to wear casual style and that's Joe Browns! Good cut jeans and tunics are something my wardrobe could be doing with - drastically!
Here are my picks from Joe Browns:
Here are my picks from Joe Browns:
The Essential Biker Jean (you can't get more casual can you?)
Cornelli Detail Tunic (This could be dressed up or down really!)
Shearling Boots (I own no boots! Heels are great but right now it is raining out of the heavens and I'm just not very practically minded lol)

So that's me. Onto the Love of My Life. Yeah yeah I know but gotta call it as I see it folks and he is.
Such a job I had finding a photo for you all! This, however shows my husband's Style perfectly. He gets up in the morning, he throws on whatever jeans he's left lying on the floor the night before. Then he'll reach for a comic themed T shirt. He informs me that sometimes there is a system for choosing... I'm not quite sure I believe him to be honest! Then if it's cold he'll throw on either this shirt (the only one he's got and I am so sick of looking at it!) or he'll throw on a hoody. He has about 3 hoody's all in nearly the same colour. I DESPAIR!
Throughout the years I have attempted on different occasions to style him UP a little bit, just a little bit, but to no avail. He never spends money on his clothes himself but when I mentioned this competition to him I swear to you it was the first time (EVER!) I saw a glint of excitement regarding clothes. It was a joyous sight.
Now! By styling UP I simply mean some new trews to be honest... The jeans he owns are years old, as are the T shirts and that one shirt. I wouldn't want him to feel uncomfortable in his clothes especially when he does the majority of running around with our little one.
So, here are Lee's picks from Joe Browns:
Bootcut Aged Jean (he's extremely particular about jeans!)
New Meltdown T Shirt (he's a guitarist so this made utter sense to me)
Rugged Plaid Checked Shirt (I'm just sick of seeing the one he has so a fresh new one might just be the ticket....)

The funny thing is he loves nothing more than helping me pick pretty dresses. He takes my photographs for the blog and he's my proofreader (though he hasn't read this post!) He's a fantastic father to Riley and I couldn't honestly ask for a better hubby. He's my best friend and my favourite person to spend time with. For all these reasons and so many many more I would love him to have the chance to have some money to spend on himself and for him to be able to kit himself out in a kick ass outfit.
