Sunsets and Meadows with Inglot

I have a confession to make to you all...

Until the recent Launch of the new Inglot Store, Victoria Square, Belfast I hadn't actually heard all that much about them. Granted they had no stores here but that doesn't really come into the equation here on this blog ;)

Being obviously unable to attend the Launch, which by all accounts was a resounding success, I was very kindly sent some goodies by the folks over at Love PR. They have my gratitude for being so understanding and for bringing Inglot into my life.

The packaging is sleek and professional in appearance. I enjoy good packaging, it's the nerd side of me! The side that couldn't wait to get new pencils and books for the new school term!

I received their Freedom System 10 shadow palette with 5 stunning shades of eyeshadow. It's just as well there were 5 empty spaces - they will be filled I assure you. I'll be up and in that store as soon as I can be. I also received what has to be THE most pigmented shimmer gloss I've ever laid eyes on.

I've honestly never worn eyeshadow like it. 8 hours after applying the orange and it hadn't even creased. I applied it straight onto my eyelid without a primer or any foundation (it was one of *those* days) and it simply stayed put. It didn't fade.

Here's a little run down of each shadow:

Matte Black

Orange

 A bright Canary Yellow

Light Shimmer Green (so hard to photograph!)

  Darker Shimmer Green

The Gloss is incredible.

It's not a product I would use on a bare lip for fear of the 'too pale' zombified look albeit a tad more sparkly. No, but this would be fantastic for adding a new dimension to a colour you've already applied.
A little tip? Dab a little on the middle of your bottom lip, where your lip is it's fullest and blend downwards and outwards for a stunning eyecatching shimmer.

All of the products I was sent are pleasantly very surprising in the sheer quality of them.
I thought I'd take you through 2 looks I created with the eyeshadows so you can see what they are like on and blended etc.

Sunset Shadows

1. Pop a faint line of liquid eyeliner on (it doesn't have to be precise). Apply an orange shadow to the crease of your eyelid, blending it up slightly  to over the bone

2. Then fill in the lower lid area with a yellow, blending upwards into the orange

3. Slightly dampen the end of an angled brush and dip in the black shadow and simply line your lash line over the eyeliner you applied earlier. This black shadow from Inglot is perfect for this! Perfect smokey eye shadow!

Just in case sunsets aren't your thing and you're more a meadow, grass is greener type simply follow the above steps only substitute the orange for the deep green and the yellow for the light shimmer green and you can have a gorgeous green fairytale blend of shadows.

Meadow Shadows

All of the reports filtering through so far are nothing short of impressive for a new store. The staff are approachable and friendly and the store is laid out in a clean and organised fashion, it certainly sounds like the kind of store I'd like to visit.

Here are some images of those clean lines I love so much

All in all Inglot, Victoria Square, Belfast is fast becoming the new place to check out and I'm here to put my 2 cents to that, if you are in the vicinity of the store do pop in and see what you think. I'm pretty sure you'll be impressed!

  1. Those are beautiful colours Sera - I loved the orange shade but couldn't get away with it - I have my eye on a soft peachy shade. Love the green too... you really suit the brights.

  6. Welcome to the amazing world of Inglot! I have a few palettes from the freedom system. They are definitely my go to eyeshadows. Love the quality and the price. The people at my local shop here in Las Vegas are also super helpful and approachable.

  7. I hadn't heard of Inglot until I came across their store in Times Square last summer. I left it an hour later after spending about $250... oops. I love their eyeshadows- I find them long lasting, too, and so vibrant. And these colours look amazing on you! I'd recommend the green, purple, and turquoise shades, and their nail polishes are amazing too. They're a bit pricey so nice for a treat, but they're very chip resistant and fast drying. As a make up junkie, I'm converted to this brand and really can't fault it!

  8. I've never tried it either, they don't sell it anywhere near me. I love how clean and sturdy their palettes look, and they seem to be such good value for the quality compared to other brands. The look you did is lovely x
