I despair! You put on a Maxi Dress in the morning because you've woken up and the birds are singing, the sun is shining and there are warm rays tickling your skin. 5 minutes later? Overcast and cold, especially in the shadows, which are in abundance at the moment.
So what do you do?
I choose to stick to my guns personally instead of going up and throwing something warmer on only for the weather to return to it's former sunny glory I grab a jumper.
A good chunky knit can give a nice casual edge to any Maxi Dress or Skirt.
I picked this funky Maxi Dress up at www.missrebel.co.uk a while ago for just £4.99 (they have a few in that price range!)
The great chunky jumper came from a clothes swap with the lovely Christine over at www.fashionfloozy.co.uk and it's from TopShop. It's comfy and just a pleasure to wear!
I don't tend to wear my glasses much to be honest though I do like them. I opt for contacts as it makes working with Riley a bit easier and saves from that steamy glasses annoyance. The other issue is these are the only frames I own. Classic budget Specsavers. They stand me well but it's an area I'd like to expand my style to in the future.
I desperately need boots. Clearly lol I shall start researching asap. I'm determined to find the perfect pair! They exist. They do. And within budget. Somewhere!
Best thing is? If the sun comes out again I can just pop the jumper off and keep it to hand.
So don't retire those Maxi Dresses just yet, there is still hope!

I do this all the time! I have a plain maxi dress that I put on pretty much as soon as the sun comes out because it's so comfy, then it always seems to end up having a jumper chucked over the top... Later on if the sun comes out for 10 minutes I like being able to whip it off, if I've got changed into leggings and a jumper I feel like a failure!
ReplyDeletehi, I feel the exact same about maxi dresses and jumpers - that is one thing definetly have in common.
DeleteIt is easy and looks great, and versatile.

I like this idea - I'd never really considered a jumper over a maxi dress, whilst I do like maxi dresses I never seem to feel particularly comfortable in them.
