Sweden: My Eurovision Crush

We're the other side of the Eurovision now. How are we all feeling about the result?

I, for one am extremely happy Sweden took the win. 

I already have the song Euphoria on my playlist and I was sitting wondering why Sweden was such a winner for me personally.

It's, without a doubt down to the representing Artist herself, Loreen.

Effortlessly beautiful and stylish. Graceful and poised at all times yet able to maintain such coolness! I'm girl crushing, style crushing, song crushing etc etc etc.

It was brilliant to see a lovely girl singing a good song without having to gyrate and make pouty faces at our TV screens. And dressed in a simple black trouser / vest combination. Basic styling that never fails.

Loreen first broke out (in a sense) when she appeared as a Wild Card entrant for Swedish Idol, 2004. She went on to television presenting before she made her way back into the studio. She battled through the competition to win her place representing Sweden and fair play. I thoroughly enjoyed the song and everything else Loreen and the team behind her brought to the stage tonight. 

It was truly hypnotic.

I also think it's commendable that Loreen chose to meet with Human Rights Activists and used this opportunity to speak out against the Azerbaijan regime.

Well Done Sweden!! A clear win on all accounts.
