I had intended blogging my thoughts on this palette ages ago and got waylaid using the product. It has pretty much become my go-to eyeshadow palette, without me even realising it! And whilst I'm berating myself for the late review, really you'll thank me when I bring you details of a very sweet offer concerning this palette.
Hailed by many as a perfect dupe for the Naked 2 palette, In The Buff by W7 has had everyone nodding in acceptance of it's quality. I wouldn't go as far to say it's a dupe personally but I would say that it's a great palette to have in your collection regardless of whether you're a Naked palette owner or not.
Shades from left to right: Buff | Camel | Sand | Dust | Chocolate | Topaz | Earth | Storm | Silk | Wave | Thunder | Onyx
At first glance it looked quite flimsy. In a tin casing with dubious hinges and the brush isn't really worth mentioning however, dig into your own brush supply, slap on a good primer and watch as the magic happens.
Surprisingly it's the shimmer shadows that really impress me with this palette and they're usually the shadows I neglect. Highly pigmented and hardly any fall out at all, the shimmers in particular enabled me to get a nice shimmery eye without looking I'd been attacked by Tinkerbell (never a good look). The mattes are my go-to's though. Specifically shades Sand, Chocolate & Onyx, which I'd tend to use daily now for a light natural eye look. There is a knack to applying them I think, to avoid fall out, I have taken to pressing the shadow on with a flat eyeshadow brush and then blending slightly.
Here's the kicker folks. Now is the time to grab yourself a W7 In The Buff Natural Eyeshadow Palette because...... Cara Pharmacy have them for just 6.00euro!! That works out around £4.76. That's under a fiver!! I wish I'd known before now that Cara were online and delivering to the UK and NI as well as Ireland though maybe it's best I didn't as the amount of offers online is serious!
Have you tried the W7 In The Buff palette? What were your thoughts?
