Combating signs of aging

A while ago a lovely friend called me a brat. Actually. In the most flattering terms though! The reason? My skin.

A while ago I noticed the first lines appearing around my eyes. Then I noticed a little loosening of my lid. Then, through ill health and little sleep, the puffiness and bags under the eyes came. Who knows if anyone else noticed (my mum probably would have had she been here) but I definitely noticed in my reflection and it honestly did knock my confidence. Especially with the likes of pictures of make up for the blog. I got quite self conscious, I'm almost ashamed to admit it. I repeatedly showed said lines to Lee who, bless him, denied their existence. Such a good husband isn't he?

I saw an opportunity to combat these signs of aging from the get go. A full scale attack if you will. Whereas I am perfectly accepting of the fact I will age and I will grow older, at 28 I'm just not ready. Not yet.

This little miracle product is the first in my arsenal. Picture the scene. The battle lines are drawn between me and my fine lines. Let's refer to this product as the archers in my anti aging army. Ready? FIRE!!

Advanced Night Repair Eye serum infusion

Since receiving this I have applied it every night, religiously. The pump action dispenses just the right amount for one eye so there's no faffing around. It honestly takes a minute at most to carry out the routine. The serum itself is creamy, as you'd expect, but not runny, so again, eliminating any fuss.

I dispense a drop onto a CLEAN fingertip and apply around my eye area, massaging into the side of my eyes and under eye area.

Onto the big question...

Has it worked?

The lines have reduced, without doubt. So yes folks, this is one magic little serum infusion that really does do what it claims to. I'm beyond impressed. I've tried a few this past year with no results to speak of really however the Estee Lauder Night Repair Eye serum infusion has indeed combated my early signs of aging.
Since starting my new skincare regime I found I've settled into it now and it comes as second nature, like brushing my teeth. It really is that easy to make a skincare regime habit. And as the results go to show here today, it's really worth it.

  1. I've used their stuff in the past but I am VERY BAD at any skin care routine .. especially at night ..
Off to look some more because if you say it works then there might be hope for this 39 yr old yet!

  2. My goodness Fiona you do not look like 39!!

  3. Great post, because I've tried so many eye serums in the past and I honestly don't think they work. I haven't tried this though ... don't know why, because I think Estee Lauder skincare is generally good, particularly in the area of combating signs of ageing. Glad to see this review. Might just have to invest (although at almost 20 years older than you, it might be a little late, lol!)

    1. I can't believe your ages, you must be doing something right!!

    1. I disagree.... you NEED this. It's amazing. I rarely say that too.

  5. I just bought the Advanced Night Repair Serum which came with a free eye cream for the first time just last week. Nothing to report just yet except a definite improvement in my skin tone :)

    1. So glad to hear you're noticing a difference x

  6. Lovely www.adoramehitabel.blogspot.co.uk

  7. I had a little bottle of this free in a set and have always meant to replace it, I've seen a lot of bloggers raving about it. So I'm definitely going to get more now, I'm 2 years older than you so have been noticing little fine lines, especially after the birth of my son, so I really need to get into a good skin care routine before it's too late.

    1. Funny I think that's what brought mine on too ;) lines and grey hairs!

  8. They have some great products and night repair is amazing. My mum literally lives by their whole range.you do have a lovely blog and it would be great if you could come over and check out my blog, may we could follow each other.
I am also doing a giveaway on my blog at the moment and would LOVE it if you would enter.
