My ''Woman of the Year Awards'' face of the night recreated TUTORIAL

I thought I'd bring you a quick (terrible picture heavy) recreation tutorial for my make up for the Belfast Telegraph Woman of the Year Awards 2012.

Before

My tools

Snow White and the Huntsman Palette
Stila Foundation
Collection 2000 Concealer
Lancome Eyeliner
CK gel eyeliner
Blush me
No 7 Mascara
NYC Showtime Mascara
CK Lipstick in Ruby Red

Step 1: Apply base of Concealer, Foundation and Blush

Step 2: Use lightest shade of shadow or white / silver liner (well blended) to highlight under eyebrow and inner corner of eye

Step 3: Apply ''base'' skin tone colour from lash line to highlighted area under brow

Step 4: Blend darker staple colour into crease and angle at outer corners

Step 5: Apply a shimmer shade in the middle of lid and blend to just below crease

Step 6: My motto? Sure why not add a flick ;)

At this stage I apply some liner on the inner lower lid of my eye.

Step 7: Add mascara. Lashings. For that ''false lash'' effect yadda yadda

Apply lipstick of choice and don't be afraid to go bold eyes, bold lips. Fashion and make up are fun. Break the rules!

Though a tip? I forgot to line my lips during this recreation - make sure YOU do. You don't want bleeding like mine above!

Et Voila!

A great party make up look...

That could easily be a great festive look too - win / win!

Hope you liked my wee tutorial! Remember if you give it a go tweet or email me a pic of your efforts I'd love to see them!

  1. You looked so amazing for the awards, you're lucky you have absolutely fantastic skin, so clear & fresh, & I completely agree about breaking rules, why not have a strong lip & a strong eye! Thank you for the tutorial x

I'm off to a formal do on Friday for my other halves work, should be fun but I'm so scared as I haven't been to a black tie before and I'll be the youngest there at 22! Then the rest of Xmas it's Belfast with the family! Can't wait! :)
