Home Sweet Home

We've been in the new house for over a month now yet I'm only just getting around to having it look and feel how I want it to. We were lucky, there's such a rustic and vintage feel to the place already so honestly not much needed done admittedly.

I virtually scooted on over to Matalan to see what home furnishings were on offer and I hit the motherload. I found my perfect home accessory. Before we get to that though... there may have been some offers I couldn't ''walk past'' :S

First up this gorgeous Wool Mix Belted Skirt which is no longer on the website (as far as I can see)

Goodness I really have gone in for the heritage / rustic theme this year... If this slight herringbone skirt doesn't prove that then the next items definitely will...

I got 3 different colour variations of the same top.

 I have never in my life done such a thing! In my defence they are just £5.00 each and they have shoulder and elbow patches AND they're polo neck <3 If you'd like one you can still pick them up through this link Patch Detail Polo from Matalan

The next item is a Paper Tray which we are using as a logs and sticks basket and it's perfect!

It slots in so very well.

The Rustic Charm Jug 

This all arrived this morning and I was like a kid at Christmas ripping open the packaging. This jug was the last thing to open and it was the reason I sped through everything else. I literally couldn't wait to get it! So, of course I headed out to the garden to forage for twigs and other pretties I could fire in there. One thing though!! Beware of GIANT spiders (eeeeep!)

 

And here we are! Martha Stewart eat your heart out! 

 

I almost can't wait for the holly berries to be out in force. 

I adore it. I'm on a search now for similar themed items for the home.

The Rustic Charm Jug from Matalan is priced at just £8 and it's better than any vase that's for sure! I wish they had more stag themed items!!
