3 things happened recently.
1. I had a bout of insomnia so ended up watching Gok's Clothes Roadshow late one night on E4 and how lucky! For I saw the most amazing tutorial for DIY glitter heels!
2. Gok Wan's Latest Collection reached my eyeline and it made me stop in my tracks
3. I grew to love the belt loving one.
All roads led to Gok Wan.
And because I'm in the nature of sharing (*over) I thought I'd give you a wee peak at both the latest collection AND the tutorial for the DIY Glitter Heels, which I tried over the weekend.
Let's kick off with the latest collection shall we? It's a stunner!
Of course these are just a few of the items on offer, there are many more, 22 pieces to be exact (in the collection) with the emphasis firmly on grown up glamour. Nothing says that more than my favourite item
Gok for TU is currently available to buy in Sainsbury's stores in sizes 8 through to 22
I do wish they'd become available online though!
So, with all the emphasis on glitz and glamour it felt the appropriate time to try my hand at some DIY. Cue Gok Wan's Glitter Heels Tutorial. Now, there are 2 things I'm no good at whatsoever. Those 2 things are baking and crafting / DIY. I'm terrible but when I saw Gok's tutorial on the Clothes Roadshow I had to give it a go. He made it look so effortless. It couldn't possibly be, could it?
Let's find out!
I gathered my JosyRose Glitter Fabric, scissors (I didn't have a craft knife), cling film, sellotape, fabric glue and heels up and got ready to do DIY battle.
I took one pair of shoes
And the rest, as they say, was history ;)
Et Voila!
For a first attempt it's not that bad! I was surprised at how easy it was. There were a few fiddly bits but all in all I'm definitely set on giving it another go! I'll perfect the method, so help me I'll have perfectly glittered shoes for Christmas!
To see the tutorial in full you can click through the following link
I had been intending to write the steps out here for you but when drafting this post thought that would be unfair so I urge you to go and either watch the video clip or read the instructions below. You won't regret it I promise.
Did I mention barr the shoes you use it cost under £5 to glitter my heels? Bargain!
Let me know if you try the DIY Glitter Heels and how you got on and if you manage to nab a stunner from Gok's latest collection let me know what you picked!
