With the likes of Jessie J and Cheryl Cole taking to neons and geometric prints, this Street Style reinvention is fast taking off.
I live in a very small town in the back end of beyond and even here there are signs of Street Style filtering through. Cross print leggings, neon caps and high tops can be seen on a daily basis.
Being quite a classic dresser it's not often I'll dip my toe into a trend but I saw a great top in Asda, reduced in the sale, so it seemed a good opportunity to try it out.
If I'm trying a trend I will always just go in a little bit. Personality wise I'm an all or nothing type girl but when it comes to uncertainty in fashion my thoughts are more: slowly, surely. It doesn't hurt to try a trend, if you don't like it you can move right on. So for today? Just a little bit of street style. A very little bit!

For me personally this style of dressing just doesn't feel good. If I were wearing the shirt again I would wear it tucked into a skirt, which is a shame in a sense as I'd lose the lovely dipped hem. Though with a plain black pencil skirt it could really rock!
This is the only clear picture I managed to get of the little shoes (my bad! Sorry! In my defense it is freezing!)
The little candy platforms are from Everything5Pounds where they were indeed just £5. I can't recommend this store to you enough. Delivery is quick, I've ordered from them a few times and have no complaints yet. It does depend what you're looking for though. These little platforms are lovely and bright and they're not too sore on your feet. I purchased 2 different pairs of shoes from Everything5Pounds and both have impressed me no end, packed in a box with spare heel caps. As I said thoroughly recommended.
And to finish off my Street Fashion toe dipping I accessorized to the max! If you have a spare few £'s kicking about at the moment I suggest heading over to www.Internacionale.com where not only have they a great SALE on they also are offering BUY ONE GET ONE HALF PRICE on SALE items. I purchased 5 items and only paid approx £12 plus!!!! And very importantly!!! Delivery is JUST £1.00 on all orders! Cannot be bad to that really can you?
And so that's my OOTD. I'm not sure if it would be OOTD again but it was fun to try something different again. I do like the shirt/top/blouse thing but I'm just not convinced I suit neon colours or such hard contrasting but then again it could just be a case of getting used to it. I don't tend to go in for modern trends a lot but I'm making a concerted effort these days to at least try. It's a good exercise in finding new suitable trends for yourself.
Have you gone in for any of the Summers trends yet?
I can tell my festival/boho chick is just itching to burst free...

I haven't tried neon yet, I'm a bit afraid of it! Your shoes are fantastic though, can't believe they were only 5 quid! Brilliant. I like the collar shape on the shirt, it's really cute. Love the earrings too! x
